The Commercial Water Service Line Protection Program provides owners of commercial properties an option for affordable protection against the significant costs of repair or replacing leaking, damaged, or frozen service lines. In addition to providing a valuable service to Owatonna Public Utilities (OPU) customers, the program is intended to minimize disruption and public hazard due to leaks which would not otherwise be repaired in a timely manner.
Coverage:
This covers commercial customers with service pipe 4-inch diameter or less and service length 300 feet or less. Commercial customers on properties with service lines larger than 4 inches in diameter and totaling more than 300 feet in length are not eligible for the program.
Combined fire and domestic service lines will be eligible up to a 6-inch diameter line, for lines no longer than 300 feet. Private watermains are not eligible.
Commercial coverage includes up to $15,000 in repairs, private property restoration, interior concrete restoration, and curb stop and valve coverage. All for just $4.99/month.
ALL COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED FOR THE FIRST YEAR, WITH A $4.99 MONTHLY BILL CREDIT.
