ENERGY STAR qualified Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CFL) use about 75% less energy than standard incandescent bulbs, last up to 10 times longer, and can save more than $40 in electricity over the lamp life.

ENERGY STAR qualified LED lighting use about 75% less energy than the standard incandescent bulbs, last up to 50 times longer, and offer advantages over CFLs such as dimming capabilities and cold temperature operation.

CFL Bulb ENERGY STAR 50% of bulb or package price
CFL Light Fixtures ENERGY STAR   Must accept only pin style CFL Lighting $15 per fixture
LED Bulbs ENERGY STAR $10 for lamps 10 watts or less.  $15 for lamps greater than 10 watts
LED Light Fixtures ENERGY STAR $20 per fixture

 

Here's how Conserve & Save® works:

  1. Purchase ENERGY STAR CFL and LED bulbs and fixtures
  2. Get a rebate application from OPU's office, or down it here by clicking on the link to the right.
  3. Fill out the application completely, attach your sales receipt and packaging showing the ENERGY STAR logo and bulb wattage.
  4. Send your application and materials back to us, or drop it off in our business office.
  5. Allow 4-6 weeks to receive your rebate.
