Heat Pumps - Geothermal
ENERGY STAR qualified heat pumps are over 45% more efficient than standard new models. OPU provides rebates for geothermal heatpumps which meet or exceed the ENERGY STAR required energy efficiency ratio (EER) and coefficient of performance (COP):
Water-to-Air Models: EER 16.1 or greater and COP 3.5 or greater, and 2-stage
Water-to-Water Models: EER 15.1 or greater and COP 3.0 or greater
The rebate amount depends upon the size of the unit and the EER: $250 per ton + $150 per EER over the minimum efficiency requirement. There is also a $250 rebate for a desuperheater.

Get a rebate application from the contractor or dealer, at OPU’s office, or download it by clicking on the icon to the right.

Fill out the application completely, attach your sales receipt and any other required documentation, and send it back to us.

Allow 4-6 weeks to receive your rebate.
